Cool Website Traffic Monitoring
Tools

Monitoring your
site traffic is important to know who is visiting your website
and why. Some hosting providers provide stat monitoring with
your domain name package, however they sometimes do not
provide additional information such as ranking and comparison.
The following
online traffic monitoring tools are free to use. You can use
these tools to gather additional information about your
website, check competitors websites and even use this
information for when you want to purchase previously used
domain name traffic and stats.

Extreme Tracking
Extreme
Tracking is a free or subscription stat based service that
monitors your website traffic. For hosting companies that
provide only basic website stat tracking, this service is a
great alternative. Even the free stat service is great; it
tracks visitors, keywords, system, referrers and more.

Alexa
Alexa is great
because it monitors site traffic and assigns rankings. It also
keeps track of link backs. Alexa also has a tool bar and a
plug-in for Firefox. My favorite feature is the list of URLs
that other people have visited while you view a website
profile. It also has RSS Feeds and a top site list.

URL Trends
This is a cool
one I just found. URL Trends generates ranking, link back,
link popularity and social bookmark trends. It also generates
a list of keywords your domain name will come under without
you having to enter that particular keyword. How cool is that!
